Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 5–15 years of IT experience to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability across production and non-production systems.

Job Requirements:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, or higher)

• Manage database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning

• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Guard)

• Perform database security management, user access control, and auditing

• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis

• Apply patches, PSU/CPU updates, and version upgrades

• Support high availability and RAC environments

• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripts, PL/SQL, or other tools

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams

• Provide on-call support for production databases as required

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• 5–15 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA

• Strong expertise in Oracle architecture and internals

• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard

• Proficiency in RMAN backup and recovery strategies

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills

• Experience in performance tuning (AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor)

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems

• Experience with shell scripting

• Understanding of database security best practices

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience

• Exposure to GoldenGate, Exadata, or OEM

• Experience with database migrations and upgrades

• Knowledge of other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

• Oracle certification (OCA/OCP) is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
