Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 8–12 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines

• Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes

• Work with large, complex datasets across multiple data sources

• Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and performance

• Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and cost

• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams

• Implement data orchestration and monitoring using tools like Airflow/Prefect

• Apply best practices for data modeling (star/snowflake schemas)

• Support real-time and batch data processing solutions

• Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to architectural decisions

• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering standards

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience

• Experience with any public cloud (Google,AWS,Azure)

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance

• Exposure to real-time analytics or event-driven architectures

• Prior experience leading or mentoring teams

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve complex challenges.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (Scala/Java is a plus)

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)

• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)

• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)

• Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)

• Strong understanding of data modeling and database design

• Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps practices

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
